Monday, October 4th, 2010With fall comes new beers and some changes to our pub hours.
SRB will be CLOSED Sunday and Monday. Our Brewshi Maki (rolls) will only be available Friday and Saturday.
We will be OPEN Tuesday thru Saturday 4 to Close (10 to 11pm)
New Beers:
Nutty AmBro! Brother to the BrAmber. 4.8%ABV. Deep Amber in color with slight hop balance. A nice toasty biscuit flavor comes thru with the addition of brown malts. SMOOTH.
Black Happy IPA:
6.5% ABV. Special sparging techniques give this beer the look of a porter but the flavor and aroma of an IPA. A large Munich malt bill and the addition of flaked barley delivers a smooth mouth feel. With copious additions of high alpha magnum hops the extra body balances out. We didn’t stop there. We dry hopped with pounds of whole leaf Hoods and added some American oak chips to conditioning. Black and Happy!
Wet Hop Wicked:
4.5% ABV. We harvested these hops from our 60 plant hop garden in Emmett. And picked feverishly for 10 hours. At just under 15 hours the hops were in the brew!
This brew is light in color and dry allowing the 90 pounds (12 pounds per barrel!) of fresh hops to dominate flavor. Only 6 pounds were added in the boil for bittering. The remaining 84 pounds were added post boil in our mash tun and allowed to soak. A floral and fruity nose results with a silky fresh hop flavor that is wicked indeed!
